Primarily Piano presents:

Music as Story

A presentation/performance session for kids 6 and up

Music History is a story – a good story – so this class will be conducted in a dramatic and anecdotal manner.  A spirited investigation of the social history, manners, clothing, art and politics – everything to set the background for the music – will be included.

Monday, October 23, 2006

West London Alliance Church, London, ON

10:00-11:30am

Clayton Scott, B.A., ARCT

“My hope is that those who attend a live performance after my presentation will understand the story, the music, the people and the place in history of that opera. If we are to draw new audiences, old or young, we must make the music feel familiar enough to entice them to sit down and immerse themselves in the experience.”  [Clayton Scott]

This lady is INCREDIBLE…I have seen her in action and she tells a very memorable and inspiring story.  You won’t want to miss it.  Check out her website at www.claytonscottmusic.com for more information.

The cost is still a guesstimate as there are expenses that I will need to take into consideration such as accommodation and payment of fees and mileage for Clayton Scott, rental of church, etc (and I don't know the exact number of people participating).  The fee would be a maximum of $14, but if I can get more than 150 children committed, then the ticket prices will be reduced. One parent per child could attend for free.
