Provincial Convention 2010

Greetings from London Branch!
We are very excited to be hosting the upcoming Provincial Convention in July 2010. When we chose our theme, "Bridging the Gap - through motivation, collaboration and inspiration", our aim was to present workshops and clinicians that showed a variety of ways to provide connections in our teaching. We are pleased to welcome Dr. Scott McBride Smith from California, who will be our keynote speaker and will also present a workshop which discusses issues surrounding the teacher and teenage student. John Hess's workshop will discuss collaborative piano and will include demonstrations from vocalists and instrumentalists. Piano duo, James Anagnoson and Leslie Kinton will present a workshop on piano duos and duets. Percussionist Jill Ball, along with a medical doctor from the University of Western Ontario, will present an interesting an informative workshop on heart beats and percussion. Percussionists from the Faculty of Music are routinely used to help demonstrate and educate medical students in hearing the thub-dubs and swishes of our hearts. Join us for a delicious banquet dinner with Big Band music featuring Chris Murphy - and don't forget your dancing shoes! We look forward to seeing everyone in July!
